Ingredients
Scale
Roll Ups
- 1 loaf white bread (thin slices)
- 5 1/2 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Cinnamon Sugar Coating
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter (melted)
Instructions
- Prepare Bread: Cut off the crusts from each slice of white bread to make soft, crustless pieces suitable for rolling.
- Flatten Bread: Using a rolling pin, gently flatten each piece of bread until it’s about 1/8 inch thick, creating an even surface for spreading the cream cheese mixture.
- Make Cream Cheese Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar. Stir thoroughly until you have a smooth, well-blended filling.
- Mix Cinnamon Sugar: In a separate bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Set this mixture aside for coating the rolls later.
- Fill and Roll Bread: Spread approximately 1 to 1½ tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture evenly over each flattened slice of bread, then carefully roll up each piece into a tight cylinder.
- Coat Rolls: Dip each bread roll first into the melted butter, ensuring it’s fully coated, then roll it in the cinnamon sugar mixture until completely covered.
- Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place each coated roll on an ungreased cookie sheet, spacing them slightly apart to allow for even baking.
- Repeat Process: Continue the dipping, coating, and arranging steps for all remaining bread slices until all roll ups are ready for baking.
- Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 16 to 20 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and are heated through.
- Serve: Remove the rolls from the oven and serve warm for the best taste and texture. Enjoy your sweet cinnamon cream cheese roll ups!
