  • Author: lilan
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 20 stuffed mushroom caps 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

These Boursin-Stuffed Mushrooms are a savory and elegant appetizer featuring large cremini mushrooms filled with a creamy blend of Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs cheese, panko breadcrumbs, and olive oil. Baked to golden perfection and garnished with fresh parsley, they make for a perfect bite-sized treat at any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale

Mushrooms

  • 20 large cremini mushrooms

Filling

  • 5 ounces Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs Cheese (1 package)
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it reaches the right temperature for baking the stuffed mushrooms evenly and thoroughly.
  2. Prepare mushrooms: Clean the mushrooms carefully using a damp paper towel to remove any dirt. Remove the stems gently, keeping only the caps, and arrange the caps on a lined baking sheet to prepare for stuffing.
  3. Mix filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs cheese with the panko breadcrumbs, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Stir well until the mixture is smooth and evenly incorporated.
  4. Stuff mushrooms: Generously fill each mushroom cap with the cheese and breadcrumb mixture, ensuring they are well-stuffed for maximum flavor and texture.
  5. Bake mushrooms: Place the stuffed mushrooms in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes. The mushrooms should become tender, and the tops turn a lovely golden brown.
  6. Garnish and serve: Remove the mushrooms from the oven, sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of color and freshness, and serve them warm as an irresistible appetizer.

Notes

  • You can substitute cremini mushrooms with white button mushrooms if desired, but cremini provide a richer flavor.
  • For a crispier topping, sprinkle additional panko breadcrumbs on top before baking.
  • To make this appetizer vegetarian-friendly, ensure the Boursin cheese used contains no animal rennet.
  • These mushrooms are best served fresh and warm but can be reheated gently in the oven.
