  • 1 pint strawberries
  • 6 oz raspberries

Chocolates

  • 14 oz Ghirardelli chocolate assortment duet hearts
  • 52.8 oz Ghirardelli signature chocolate collection, heart shaped box (12 pieces, 4.4 oz each)
  • 4 oz Lindt strawberries and cream white chocolate truffles
  • 4 oz dark chocolate (feves, chips or bar)
  • 4 oz white chocolate (feves, chips or bar)

Candies

  • 2 oz pink and red M&M’s
  • 3 oz cinnamon heart shaped candy hearts
  • 2 oz sour patch kids red hearts

Other

  • 2 drops red food coloring

Instructions

  1. Building the Board: Start by placing 3 pinch bowls on your serving board which will later hold melted chocolates and candies.
  2. Arrange Largest Items: Place the sliced opal apples evenly across the board. Follow by adding the Ghirardelli chocolates, strawberries, and raspberries, arranging them in an appealing manner to cover the largest areas of the board.
  3. Fill Gaps with Candies: Use heart-shaped cinnamon candies, sour patch kids red hearts, and red and pink M&M’s to fill any empty spots on the board to add vibrant color and texture.
  4. Melt White Chocolate: Heat the white chocolate in the microwave in 20-second increments, stirring well between each until smooth and melted. Add 2 drops of red food coloring and stir thoroughly to create a pink chocolate. Pour this mixture into one of the pinch bowls on the board.
  5. Melt Dark Chocolate: Similarly, melt the dark chocolate in 20-second bursts with stirring until smooth and fully melted. Pour the melted dark chocolate into the second pinch bowl on the board.
  6. Fill the Last Bowl: Place the remaining M&M’s into the last pinch bowl, completing the trio of dipping options for guests.

Notes

  • Ensure chocolates are melted gently to avoid burning by heating in short intervals and stirring regularly.
  • Use fresh, ripe fruits for the best flavor and presentation.
  • Arrange items creatively to maintain a balanced and visually appealing board.
  • Any leftover chocolates or candies can be stored in airtight containers for up to a week.
  • This board is best served fresh on the day of preparation to enjoy the fruits and chocolates at their best.
