- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 lb ground beef
- 28 oz crushed tomatoes
- 2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 2 tsp onion powder (optional)
- 1 tsp dried oregano
For the Alfredo Sauce:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese
- 1 cup grated mozzarella
- 2 tbsp fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped
Additional:
- 16 oz spaghetti
Instructions
- Prepare the Meat Sauce: In a large skillet, sauté onion and half of the garlic in olive oil with sugar until soft. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in crushed tomatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano. Simmer.
- Cook the Spaghetti: Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain well.
- Make the Alfredo Sauce: In another skillet, melt butter, then add remaining garlic and heavy cream. Simmer and stir in Parmesan until smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Combine and Bake: Toss spaghetti with Alfredo sauce. Transfer to a baking dish, top with meat sauce, mozzarella, and parsley. Bake until cheese is melted and slightly browned.
