Black Tea

  • 5 black tea bags

Date Syrup

  • 1 cup dates (tightly packed)
  • 10 cups water

Additional

  • 1 lemon (sliced)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Steep Tea: Add 5 black tea bags and 2 cups of boiling water to a teapot. Let steep, covered, for two hours.
  2. Make Date Syrup: In a pot, add dates and 4 cups of cold water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 25 minutes.
  3. Strain Date Syrup: Strain the date syrup and allow it to cool.
  4. Combine Ingredients: In a large pitcher, combine the steeped tea, date syrup, and 4 cups of cold water.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate the sweet tea mixture for at least 2 hours.
  6. Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes, lemon slices, and pour in the sweet tea.
