Black Tea
- 5 black tea bags
Date Syrup
- 1 cup dates (tightly packed)
- 10 cups water

Instructions
- Steep Tea: Add 5 black tea bags and 2 cups of boiling water to a teapot. Let steep, covered, for two hours.
- Make Date Syrup: In a pot, add dates and 4 cups of cold water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 25 minutes.
- Strain Date Syrup: Strain the date syrup and allow it to cool.
- Combine Ingredients: In a large pitcher, combine the steeped tea, date syrup, and 4 cups of cold water.
- Chill: Refrigerate the sweet tea mixture for at least 2 hours.
- Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes, lemon slices, and pour in the sweet tea.
