Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites that combine creamy peanut butter, crunchy pretzels, and smooth chocolate for a perfect sweet and salty treat. These bite-sized snacks are great for parties, holidays, or anytime you crave a delightful dessert with a mix of textures and flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar

Assembly

  • 84 mini pretzels

Coating and Decoration

  • 4 oz white chocolate almond bark
  • 4 oz red melting chocolate
  • 4 oz blue melting chocolate
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Arrange Pretzels: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange 42 mini pretzels on it, spacing them evenly.
  2. Prepare Peanut Butter Dough: In a mixing bowl, beat together the creamy peanut butter and room-temperature unsalted butter using an electric or hand mixer until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then mix until everything is well combined and forms a firm dough.
  3. Form Dough Balls: Using about 1 teaspoon of the peanut butter dough for each, roll the dough into small balls and place one ball on top of each pretzel on the baking sheet.
  4. Sandwich Pretzels: Top each dough ball with a second pretzel, gently pressing down to form a sandwich. Be careful not to press too hard to prevent the pretzels from breaking.
  5. Melt Chocolate: Melt one color of the chocolate melts at a time in the microwave at 50% power in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each interval until smooth and fully melted.
  6. Dip Pretzels: Hold each pretzel sandwich by the top and dip about half of it into the melted chocolate. Place the dipped pretzel on a lined baking sheet to set.
  7. Add Sprinkles: After dipping 4-5 pretzels and before the chocolate hardens, sprinkle them with your choice of sprinkles or colored sugars for decoration.
  8. Set the Chocolate: Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature for about one hour, or refrigerate for about 20 minutes to speed up the hardening process.
  9. Serve: Once the chocolate is firm, the peanut butter pretzel bites are ready to be served and enjoyed.

Notes

  • You can substitute creamy peanut butter with natural peanut butter for a less sweet option.
  • Make sure to coat the pretzels just halfway in chocolate for easier handling and better presentation.
  • If blue and red melting chocolates are unavailable, you can use white chocolate with food coloring instead.
  • Store the pretzel bites in an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerated for up to one week.
  • For extra crunch, sprinkle crushed pretzels over the melted chocolate before it sets.
