Description

A refreshing Peach and Mint Iced Tea made with green tea, fresh peaches, mint leaves, and a touch of agave syrup. This chilled beverage is perfect for hot days, combining the natural sweetness of peaches with the cooling aroma of mint and a subtle floral hint from orange blossom water.

Ingredients

Scale

Tea Base

  • 1 liter water
  • 2 tablespoons green tea (in a tea ball or 2 pea-sized portions)

Fruit and Flavorings

  • 2 peaches, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons agave syrup
  • 1 tablespoon orange blossom water (optional)

Herbs and Garnish

  • 1 small bunch of fresh mint leaves
  • Ice cubes, as needed

Instructions

  1. Brew the Tea: Boil 1 liter of water and pour it over the green tea placed in a tea ball or infuser inside a carafe. Let the tea steep for 3 to 4 minutes to extract the delicate flavors without bitterness.
  2. Add Fresh Ingredients: Once brewed, remove the tea leaves and allow the tea to cool slightly with washed mint leaves added to infuse aroma. Then add the sliced peaches, agave syrup for sweetness, and orange blossom water if using, to enhance the floral notes.
  3. Infuse and Chill: Transfer the mixture to a cool place in the refrigerator and let it steep for at least 5 hours to allow the flavors to meld. For best results, let it sit overnight. Serve chilled with ice cubes for a refreshing drink.

Notes

  • Use ripe peaches for the best natural sweetness and flavor.
  • Orange blossom water is optional but adds a lovely floral aroma.
  • Adjust the amount of agave syrup depending on your preferred sweetness.
  • This tea keeps well in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • You can substitute green tea with white tea or herbal tea for a different flavor profile.
