Description
A quick and easy homemade ice cream recipe using only two main ingredients: heavy cream and sweetened condensed milk. This no-churn ice cream is creamy, rich, and perfect for customizing with your favorite flavors.
Ingredients
Scale
Ice Cream Base
- 500 ml Heavy cream or whipping cream (12.7 fl.oz), either vegetable-based or regular
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk (397g, 13.4 fl.oz)
Optional Flavorings
- Your favorite flavor extracts or mix-ins (e.g., vanilla extract, cocoa powder, fruit puree, chocolate chips)
Instructions
- Beat the cream: Using an electric mixer, beat the heavy cream in a bowl until soft peaks form, which means when you lift the beaters, the peaks gently hold shape but slightly curl over.
- Add condensed milk: Pour the sweetened condensed milk into the whipped cream and continue beating the mixture until it thickens and is well combined.
- Mix in flavors: Add your preferred flavorings to the mixture, such as vanilla extract or other ingredients, and mix gently but thoroughly to incorporate the flavors evenly.
- Freeze: Transfer the mixture into a plastic container with a lid. Seal and freeze it for at least 5 to 6 hours until firm and creamy, then serve.
Notes
- You can customize this ice cream by adding chocolate chips, fruit chunks, or nuts before freezing.
- Make sure the heavy cream is cold for better whipping results.
- This recipe does not require an ice cream maker.
- Freeze time may vary slightly depending on your freezer temperature.
- For a dairy-free version, use coconut cream instead of heavy cream and a suitable condensed milk substitute.
