  2. Cool the pistachios: Remove the pistachios from the oven and let them cool completely, approximately 10 minutes. For a smoother texture, you can optionally remove the skins by rubbing the nuts between a clean towel.
  3. Blend until creamy: Place the cooled pistachios into a blender or food processor. Blend continuously until the pistachios release their oils and form a smooth, creamy butter. This process may take several minutes; pause occasionally to scrape down the sides and allow the machine to rest to prevent overheating.
  4. Add salt and combine: Once the pistachio butter reaches your desired consistency, add the 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Blend again briefly to evenly incorporate the salt throughout the butter.
