  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

For Topping:

  • 1/2 cup honey, warmed
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Layer Phyllo Sheets: Place one sheet of phyllo in the dish, brush with melted butter, and repeat with 6 more sheets, stacking them evenly.
  3. Prepare the Custard Filling: Combine semolina, eggs, sugar, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl. Pour over the phyllo layers.
  4. Top with Phyllo: Add the last phyllo sheet on top, brushing with butter between layers and scoring lightly with a knife.
  5. Bake: Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden and set. Let cool for 10 minutes.
  6. Finish and Serve: Drizzle warmed honey over the pie, sprinkle with sesame seeds, slice, and serve warm or at room temperature.
