Ingredients
Scale
For the Gingerbread Syrup:
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- ⅓ cup water
- 1 ½ tbsp unsulphured molasses
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
For the Latte:
- Handful of ice
- Coconut Whipped Cream or ¼ cup oatmilk (to froth)
- ½ cup chai tea concentrate
- ½ – ¾ cup oat milk or milk of choice
Instructions
- Make the Gingerbread Syrup: Combine brown sugar, water, molasses, ginger, and cinnamon in a pot over medium-low heat. Simmer and cook for 5-8 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, and let cool.
- Prepare the Latte: Drizzle gingerbread syrup in a glass. Add ice, pour chai tea concentrate, then oat milk. For a hot latte, warm the tea and milk separately. Froth milk and top the latte. Drizzle with more syrup and enjoy!
Notes
- You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less gingerbread syrup.
- For a stronger ginger flavor, increase the amount of ground ginger in the syrup.
