For the Lemon Butter:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Biscuit Dough: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, garlic powder, and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or two forks until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese. Add the milk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
