Ingredients
Scale
Donut Holes
- 1 (16 ounce) can refrigerated jumbo biscuits
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Cinnamon Sugar Coating
- ½ cup granulated white sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and allow it to preheat while you prepare the biscuit pieces.
- Mix Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, combine ½ cup granulated sugar with 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon. Set this mixture aside for coating later.
- Prepare Biscuit Pieces: Cut each jumbo biscuit into quarters to create bite-sized pieces perfect for donut holes.
- Prepare Air Fryer Basket: Spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking, then evenly place the biscuit quarters inside, ensuring they aren’t touching to allow proper air circulation. You may need to cook in batches.
- Air Fry the Biscuit Pieces: Cook the biscuit quarters in the air fryer for 4 minutes or until they turn golden brown on the outside.
- Coat with Butter: Once cooked, transfer the biscuit pieces to a bowl and drizzle half of the melted butter over them. Toss gently to ensure they are evenly coated.
- Add Cinnamon Sugar Coating: Place the butter-coated biscuit pieces into a large Ziploc bag along with half of the cinnamon sugar mixture. Seal the bag and shake vigorously to coat the pieces thoroughly.
- Repeat Coating Process: Repeat the butter coating and cinnamon sugar coating process with the remaining biscuit pieces and the remaining butter and cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve: Serve the cinnamon sugar donut holes immediately for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- Make sure biscuit pieces don’t touch in the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
- Use jumbo biscuits for the best size and texture; regular biscuits will work but yield smaller donut holes.
- If you don’t have an air fryer, these can be baked in the oven at 375°F for about 10-12 minutes but air frying gives a crispier exterior.
- For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon sugar mix.
- Serve warm for optimal taste, as the coating is best when fresh.
