Cookies:
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 ounces milk chocolate, melted
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar, set aside
Additional:
- 36 caramel filled chocolate kisses (unwrapped)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Add in the egg and vanilla
- Add the salt, baking powder, and melted chocolate.
- Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time on low speed, until dough forms.
- Roll dough into 1 inch balls, coat in granulated sugar, and place on a baking sheet.
- Remove cookies from oven and press a caramel filled chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
In a stand mixer, cream together the butter and sugar.
Beat on medium speed until smooth.
Mix well.
Chill dough in the fridge for 10-15 minutes to allow melted chocolate to set.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Allow to cool completely before serving.
Notes
- For best results, ensure the caramel chocolate kisses are placed in the cookies immediately after baking to allow them to melt slightly.
- This recipe can be easily doubled for larger batches.
