  • 10 oz breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, Monterey jack)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and prepare pan: Preheat your oven to 425º F. Grease or spray a large sheet pan with non-stick spray and sprinkle evenly with cornmeal to prevent sticking. Set aside.
  2. Cook sausage: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the breakfast sausage, breaking it into small pieces with a spatula. Cook for 6-7 minutes until fully cooked through. Remove sausage and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  3. Prepare crust: Open the tube of pizza dough and spread it onto the prepared pan, forming about a 14×10-inch rectangle. Use your hands or a rolling pin to even out the dough. Poke holes evenly across the crust with a fork to prevent puffing. Bake the crust in the oven for 7 minutes until lightly golden brown.
  4. Scramble eggs: While the crust bakes, beat the eggs together with milk in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Pour the mixture into the skillet over medium heat and stir frequently to make lightly scrambled eggs. Remove from heat once cooked.
  5. Assemble pizza: After removing the crust from the oven, spread the country gravy evenly over the crust; this will serve as the sauce. Layer the cooked sausage pieces over the gravy, then scatter the scrambled eggs evenly. Finally, sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  6. Bake to finish: Return the assembled pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 8-9 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is completely melted. Remove from the oven and slice to serve immediately.
