Ingredients
Scale
Shrimp
- 1 pound shrimp (26-30, peeled & deveined)
Bang Bang Sauce
- ½ cup Bang Bang Sauce (click for recipe)
Garnish and Additional
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (sliced at an angle, divided)
- 2 tablespoons oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- Soak Skewers: If you are using skewers, place them in a shallow baking dish, cover with water, and soak them for 10 minutes prior to use. This prevents the skewers from burning during cooking.
- Prepare Sauce: Pour half of the Bang Bang sauce into a smaller bowl to use as a dipping sauce. Set this aside for serving.
- Thread Shrimp: Thread 4-5 peeled and deveined shrimp onto each soaked skewer. Brush the remaining Bang Bang sauce generously over the shrimp to coat them well for cooking.
- Heat Skillet: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of oil onto the surface to prevent sticking and to help achieve a nice sear on the shrimp.
- Cook Shrimp: Place the shrimp in the preheated skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until the shrimp turn opaque and reach an internal temperature of 120°F. Adjust time based on shrimp size, as it cooks quickly.
- Garnish: Transfer the cooked shrimp to a serving dish. Lightly brush them with the reserved Bang Bang sauce for added flavor and juiciness. Garnish with the remaining chopped green onions for freshness and color.
- Serve: Serve the Bang Bang shrimp immediately, accompanied by the reserved dipping sauce on the side for extra heat and creaminess.
