Description
A delightful homemade treat combining creamy peanut butter, ripe banana slices, and crunchy roasted peanuts coated in rich melted chocolate, inspired by classic Snickers flavors. This no-bake recipe is quick to prepare and perfect for a frozen snack or dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
Chocolate Coating
- 1.5 cups chocolate, melted
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for thinning chocolate)
Filling
- 1 ripe banana, sliced thinly
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup roasted peanuts (salted or unsalted)
Instructions
- Melt the Chocolate: Start by melting the chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each round until smooth. If the chocolate seems too thick, stir in a teaspoon of coconut oil to thin it and create a silky texture.
- Prepare the Base Layer: In a silicone mold, add about 1-2 teaspoons of melted chocolate to cover the bottom evenly.
- Add Banana and Peanut Butter Layers: Place thin slices of banana over the chocolate base, followed by a dollop of creamy peanut butter on top.
- Top with Peanuts and Chocolate: Sprinkle roasted peanuts over the peanut butter and gently press them in. Finish by adding more melted chocolate to fully cover the top.
- Freeze to Set: Place the molds in the freezer for 1-2 hours until the chocolate is firm and the treats are set.
- Serve and Enjoy: Remove the banana Snickers from the silicone liners and enjoy this cool, sweet, and crunchy homemade treat.
Notes
- Use ripe bananas for the best flavor and texture.
- If you prefer a less sweet treat, choose dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate.
- Storing the banana Snickers in the freezer keeps them firm and fresh longer.
- Substitute roasted peanuts with other nuts like almonds or cashews if desired.
