Ingredients

  • 24 oz Gold Potatoes, cut into wedges
  • 1 Tbsp (16g) Olive Oil, divided
  • 1 Tbsp Ranch Seasoning*

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Wash and completely dry the potatoes. Slice each potato in half lengthwise, place the cut side down, and cut each half into 3 wedges.
  2. Step 2: Pat the wedges dry with a paper towel and place them in a large bowl. Toss with 1/2 Tbsp (8g) of olive oil until coated, then add to the air fryer basket.
  3. Step 3: Air fry the wedges at 400ºF for 20 minutes, shaking the basket once or twice during cooking for even crisping.
  4. Step 4: Transfer the wedges back to the bowl and toss with the remaining 1/2 Tbsp (8g) of olive oil. Add the ranch seasoning and mix until the wedges are evenly coated. Return them to the air fryer basket.
  5. Step 5: Air fry for another 5-8 minutes at 400ºF, or until the wedges are golden brown and crispy.

Tips & Variations

  • For extra crispiness, soak the potato wedges in cold water for 30 minutes before cooking, then dry thoroughly.
  • Try different seasonings like garlic powder, smoked paprika, or Cajun spice instead of ranch seasoning for a new flavor twist.
  • If using a smaller air fryer, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding and ensure even cooking.

Storage

Store leftover potato wedges in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350ºF for 5-7 minutes to restore crispness. Avoid microwaving, as it can make the wedges soggy.

Potatoes

  • 24 oz Gold Potatoes, cut into wedges

Seasoning

  • 1 Tbsp (16g) Olive Oil, divided
  • 1 Tbsp Ranch Seasoning

Instructions

  1. Prepare Potatoes: Wash the gold potatoes thoroughly and dry them completely. Cut each potato in half lengthwise with the cut side down, then cut each half into 3 wedges to create uniformly sized pieces for even cooking.
  2. Coat Potatoes with Oil: Pat the potato wedges dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Place them in a large bowl and toss with half of the olive oil (1/2 Tbsp or 8g) to lightly coat the wedges before placing them in the air fryer basket.
  3. Initial Air Fry: Set the air fryer to 400ºF and cook the potato wedges for 20 minutes. Shake or toss the basket once or twice during cooking to ensure even browning and cooking throughout.
  4. Add Seasoning: After 20 minutes, transfer the potato wedges back to the bowl. Toss with the remaining 1/2 Tbsp (8g) of olive oil to re-coat, then sprinkle the ranch seasoning evenly over the wedges and toss to combine thoroughly.
  5. Final Air Fry: Return the seasoned wedges to the air fryer basket and cook for an additional 5 to 8 minutes at 400ºF, until the wedges are golden brown and crispy on the outside while tender inside.

Notes
