Taco Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning (or 1 packet)
Cream Cheese
- 1 (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
Salsa
- 1 cup salsa of choice
Cheddar Cheese
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
For Serving
- Tortilla chips
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Cook Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until no longer pink, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain fat, if needed. Sprinkle in taco seasoning and let cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Layer Ingredients: In a pie dish or baking dish, spread out the softened cream cheese. Pour salsa over the cream cheese. Spread cooked ground beef over the salsa, then top with grated cheddar cheese.
- Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake until heated through and cheese is bubbly, approximately 15 minutes.
- Broil: Optionally, remove foil and broil for 2 minutes to brown the cheese.
