- 2 cups (500ml / 17 fl oz) thickened cream (whipping cream / heavy cream)
- 2 tablespoons icing sugar (powdered sugar)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Prep the Oreo Cream Mixture: Roughly chop 14 Oreos and place them in a bowl. Pour the thickened cream over the Oreos. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight to allow the flavors to meld and soften the cookies.
- Prepare Base and Topping Oreos: Set aside 4 Oreos whole for the base and topping. Crush or finely chop the remaining Oreos for the base layer in the serving glasses.
- Assemble the Base Layer: Divide the crushed Oreos evenly among 4 serving glasses, pressing gently to form a crunchy base.
- Whip the Mousse: Using an electric hand mixer, beat the chilled cream and Oreo mixture until smooth and whipped. Stir in the icing sugar and vanilla extract if using, then continue beating until fully incorporated and fluffy.
- Assemble the Mousse Layer: Spoon or pipe the whipped Oreo mousse evenly over the crushed Oreo base in each glass. Smooth the tops as desired.
- Chill: Place the assembled glasses back into the fridge to set and chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
- Garnish and Serve: Just before serving, top each mousse glass with a whole Oreo cookie for decoration. Serve chilled and enjoy!
